Sailing dhow off the island of Lamu, Indian Ocean coast of Kenya. Dhows use lateen sails. Boats are used for fishing and for transporting goods. Lamu is predominantly Islamic culture, seat of the Swahili culture that goes back nearly 1000 years. Part of trading route along East African coast, along with Zanzibar, that goes back many centuries.
